This week’s issue concerns the impact on Bangladesh, where crop failure from change in rain patterns, and destruction of village drinking water supplies by rising salt water, are already becoming pressing problems. It will also be the front line for rising oceans. Even the most modest ocean level changes that models predict by century’s end will displace tens of millions of people.
